How many giant zebra torchus snails should I have / gallon ? It would be the only snail in the tank.

Having only one type of snail won't do you a ton of good... a good variety is key - different snails for different tasks... just a thought.

The torchus is cleaning too well. I'm afraid my coral will be next. I have been thinking of trading him in for a couple of astraea snails. I have 1 now. That would make 3 in my 10 gallon.

I don't think you have to worry about your coral. there is pretty much anything still in your tank that he can find and eat IMO.

He has pretty well cleaned all the glass & a large rock @ the back of the tank is completely white. He has stripped it of all the coroline algae. The only large structure left with coraline algae in tact is the one on which my coral grows. I have tried feeding him small pieces of seaweed, but he won't accept it & it only fouls the water. What should I do ? Am I safe doing nothing ?

Thanks, I'll try that. I have the pellets that I put in for my plecos. Will that do ? Where would I place them. He is so large that he finds it very difficult to get down to the substrate. Would I put them on the rock he has already stripped ?
