    This kinda came up in another thread, figured it might be worth discusing if alot of you drive toyotas. There is alot of miss-information about whats going on with the recalls right now and if anyone has any questions i might be able to clear things up a little.

    i have gotten a alot of good info about reefing from you guys but have only been able to return some. I actually know alot about this.

    Best site for info is Toyota.com the little red button on the bottom left hand corner is the lastest stuff going on.

    I think my 05 tacoma is on the list..just because of the floor mats..but i don't have the stock ones so I'm not too worried..I think i'd have enough sense to throw it in neutral if it did happen though lol

    i am assuming the recall up there in Canada is the same thing that is going on down here.

    assuming your tundra is a 2007-2010, and the matrix is a 2009-2010;

    what you are having done now is the A0A recall and its a small reinforcement bar, about the size of a nickle, that is installed in your accelerator pedal that helps prevent the pedal from flexing and wearing.

    basically what might have happened is the gas pedal might not come right back up after you let it go. I have talked to and fixed hundreds of cars over the last couple weeks. have not talked to one person who thought there was a problem

    There is a separate "recall" on the possibility of your floor mat getting stuck under your gas pedal. This is the one that i really dont understand. Right now on both your cars just make sure your floormats are secured and not pushed up under your pedal (seems like common sense to me) . we are currently modifying the pedal surface itself more the what i talked about above in the camry's. more then likely we will do the matrix and the tundra later (not sure when, maybe next month, maybe next year?????)

    yeah, you got it. just make sure you keep the mat from under then pedal....... common sense.

    we have had people come in with 4 floormats stacked on top of each other

    not sure if yours is going to fall under any future pedal modifications, but even if its still related to floormats, not sticking on its own
