Yes, she is also diabetic, so I would feel better having the medical insurance. That's really what I care about! The airflight insurance is if the plane crashes, has an emergency landing, she gets injured on the flight somehow, etc. The airplane ticket I don't care as much about - I could eat that if I have to. Medical is the big thing for me!

Plus, I told him that since we discussed this, if we ended up not getting it, something would happen and we would be pissed we didn't get it. LOL seems like for 72 bucks it's a good purchase.

peace of mind would be worth the $72 for me. Especially since it is for someone else. if i was planning my own trip, i would just expect me to deal with whatever came up. If i am sending someone else, i wouldn't want to have to worry about them. By the way, sending her on this trip should be worth some real karma not just 3reef karma. :)

I normally do too. But my parents were freaking me out about it. And knowing my luck, if I don't get it, something will happen! LOL

    I'll just do it :)

    Thanks for the help!

My wife was a travel agent for 7 1/2 years and says for $72 it's worth it. Just as long as everyone understands it doesn't cover acts of god (hurricanes, earthquakes, etc...). She had several times where someone who declined the insurance ended up having something come up, like a family member dying, that caused them not to be able to go. They lost most of their money when a simple $25 per person would have allowed them to get it all back. Not everyone needs it, but in this case (being only $36 per person and the vacationers aren't exactly spring chickens) she thinks it's not a bad idea at all.

Thanks so much for asking her! I am definitely going to do it. I'm mostly worried about medical things for his mom, she's older, diabetic, etc. Also, ugh I don't even like typing this, as I'm superstitious, but her friend we are sending with her has a sister who is fighting colon cancer, and isn't doing great..... So, we want to be prepared for that too.

    Thanks again!!
