I acquired a trumpet coral about 1 month ago and I have yet to see any extensions come out after dark. Does this mean it's unhealthy?? I've had it half way down the tank with low flow and now it's a little higher with more flow.....no difference in appearance of the coral. I'll post a pic if I can figure out how....just wondering if this guy should be shooting some tentacles out after dark.

You could try turning off your pumps/powerheads and setting some mysis or something on them and see if that triggers them to open up. Are your water parameters OK and are they looking good and not receding?

They do/should extent their tentacles when they sense "food" around, esp at night. Well, at least mine do. Luna

Mine dont extend there tenticles out that much either, but I can see them open there mouths up more and they show there tenticles more at night.
