Tunze 9002 problem

I just picked up a tunze 9002. The unit itself seems fine ive checked all the tubes and it appears nothing is blocking, i am getting enough air bubbles, but the pump doesnt seem strong enough no matter what setting i have the blue screw in or no matter the water depth the water level wont seem to rise above the bottom of the cup, any one have some ideas?

I took it apart and checked the air tube and made sure that was all good. it sounds and looks like its working but the pump just doesnt seem strong enough. The store i got it from special ordered it for me so returning it could be a problem.

 

Good luck with it. I have never had great luck with mine on my nano cube. Some days it over skims and some days it wont pull a thing.

I find that I have to place the skimmer a little lower than the water level says on the side of the body. My water level is about at the top of the body. I also did the air mod but that only makes it easier to dial it in.
