Idk when I bought them both they were definitely two different species. My lfs may have mislabeled them though. I don't buy either anymore I stick to reef cleaners for my cuc.

I wouldnt go with just pure turbos. Cerith, nas, turbo's all play a different part. Shoot John an email over at reefcleaners or on here. He'll take care of you. Definitely the route to go.

"turbo" is generic. Mexican turbos are one type of turbo snails. Other types include zebra turbos, black turbos, etc. Many people prefer the mexican ones, since they are reported to eat red turf algae ("cotton candy" algae). The downside of these is that they can bulldoze your corals. They perform different functions than some other snails - nassarius snails keep the sandbed clean. Cerith keep the rocks and glass clean of film algae. Turbos eat some filamentous algae (eg. hair algae and turf algae). HTH!
