I just replaced my dual actinics with 6500k/10000k bulbs and my MH are beyond old. I have to wait a few more weeks before getting the new bulbs so do you think it would be better to just turn them off and run the daylight bulbs? The daylights are both 130W and I only have 3 clowns in the tank at the moment.

If you just have fish..all the halide is doing is using power. I would keep it off until you get the new bulb or even until you get corals that need that much light.

+1. You're definitely just wasting energy without anything that requires MH.
