Sorry but equipment isn't my forte so I'll let the more experienced "gear heads" take that question. As for your fish, not much you can do but wait and watch unless you're willing to bring them to your LFS to hold for you until your tank stablizes a bit.

I just called my LFS and they just moved and cycled their tanks but nothing is added yet. He can't qt them He did suggest Biospur?(not sure of the spelling) Said it would add the beneficial bacteria back to the tank, like a normal cycle would. Anyone ever used this stuff? It's in the freezer section he said/

I hate recommending the use of bottled bacteria to anyone so unless your ammonia really spikes up high during the mini-cycle, save your money and let nature take its course.

I know a guy that might able to help you out Scott. ;D

I'll start drafting the note now...

    Dear Scott,

Due to unforseen circumstances some of your SPS corals had to be relocated. Don't worry about it though they seem to be doing fine. I'll get you some frags as soon as they become avialable.

P.S. I left the SPS with the nudibranch colony on it. 8)

Holy crap! - I would wind up in a mental institution if my tank went belly up like that.

The remora is a great skimmer. --- all AquaC products are good.

    Sorry about your losses. :(

Hope your recovery process goes well.

    Ouch that hurts

    HI,
Wow thats scarry, as I reflect on the fact I need to go to school for a week in INDY, Ill and leave my wife in charge of my critters.
Well look at the bright side all the ich in that tank is gone that is if there ever was any.
I wonder if any of the bacteria are alive.
I would get some dirty sand from you local LPS to help seed the system and every one is going on a starvation diet till the tank cycles.
    Doug

UPDATE: as of this morning everyone who is left is looking good! I got the h20 back up to 1.022 and my fishies are swimming around and they seem happy! Engineer Goby is hiding and I think he's the most freaked out. My Foxface seemed not very good yesterday , hiding near the powerhead and brown, but this morning he was back to yellow.

I bought the Remora yesterday and overnighted it and it's working great! A few micro bubbles, but, I'm sure after reading about it, that will go away after break in. Wow should have bought that one a long time ago. Very easy to install!

I talked again to my LFS and he said the same thing, Doug! No diseases! That is kinda a blessing I guess. A few of the Nerite snails are moving again too. They survived. I did find one of my cucumber worms yesterday. WOW did that thing stink! I can't find the other one.

I just looked over to see my Convict Damsel fighting with the heater. It kinda sways in the water, since the suction cups no longer suck and he's swatting it with his tail. LOL That'll keep him busy for a while LMAO....

Thanks for the well wishes everyone!! I hope this NEVER happens to any of you, but if by some nightmare of a chance it does...ask me I'll know what to do lol (gotta laugh about it or I'll cry)

    Linda

PS AMCARRIG Love the PIC!!!!! Hillarious isn't she. If I ever get a DUI(which I won't) I will ask for the Paris Hilton Plan!;D
