Pathetic? Don't you think there would be a nicer way to say "You should add more filtration" than to use the word "pathetic"? I thought the point was to help someone, not make them feel like a horrible person when they already feel bad for having a fish die.

Please know what you are talking about before posting. The figure 8 puffer is a low end brackish water fish that reaches a max. size of 3 inches, unlike my Green Spotted puffer wich is a high end brackish-SW fish (commonly sold as a FW fish since the juveniles can be in FW) which can grow to 6.5" in length.
Many people have very nice 55g and smaller setups, you don't have to have a huge tank to have a beautiful reef with a nice selection of fish and corals. We're supposed to be helpful here.

i was in no way trying to put down the hobbyist here, i was just saying that that particular filtration style in the hood is not at all efficient for keeping saltwater. i am not at all trying to insult only to inform.

my apologies i was getting the brackish puffers confused. thats a mess up on my part. i myself have a 40 gallon reef tank but i am just saying working with a tank like that will be difficult. mostly because it is mainly for freshwater.

If that is true then you should chose your words more carefully and be aware of the connotations your word choice carries.
