My urchin decided to pick up two mushrooms today. Do I leave them? Not really sure what to do.

I think it is totally cool how urchins move things. I would personally leave the shrooms wherever he put them if you don't see any future problems with their placement. I think it's cool to know that your tank is decorating itself. Makes it more natural to me.

An urchin at the lfs has been holding on to a button polyp colony for a month now (I go once a week). Crazy. I'd buy him if my tank was big enough to support two urchins.

You can remove the mushrooms if you want, but I suspect it will be a little difficult since they slime a lot.

So I shouldn't have a concern for the mushrooms then. Just let nature run it's coarse.

Yes, you can always recover the mushrooms when the urchin releases them, most likely tonight and depending on where they end up.
