Are Urchins worth having to rid the rocks of the little white swirly worms or would they be a nuciense or eat the coral?

Those "white swirly worms" are harmless. I got rid of my urchin b/c it bulldozed everything in my tank. More trouble than its worth if you ask me.

I had problems with my adult sized pencil urchin.. besides waking up to frags upside down.. did check him eating some zoas.. pissed me off, so hes been in the QT for the last 2 weeks.. my other urchin knows he's next. so he's been hiding in the LR for a few days so I cant get to him.. not worth the hassle anymore..

Black Long Spined Diadema Urchins are ideal for a reef set up and are considered the best at not wrecking rock work and knocking down corals. I can attest to this statement since I have two varios Urchins in my 125 gallon reef!
