Not much info to go on but if your tank is fairly new it is probably diatoms. Just about every new tank goes through that and they will go away unless you are doing something to feed them silicates, like using tap water.

    Def diatoms

Try uping your flow, what do you use now in terms of power heads? Any dead spots?

The silicates are also introduced on all the new plastics that are present in a new system
they vary in terms of longevity, depending on the amount of silicates available
mine lasted about 4 - 6 weeks and looked like an explosion in a coco powder factory
no special attention required IME - let them run their course and your tank will look like it did the day you set it up

provided as mentioned above, your not adding any further source of silicates

this is what I did when I had diotoms...
-no water changes(your basically giving them fresh food when you do)
-keep good flow(I only had one powerhead for a 72gallon)
-keep light on for 12 hours
-once it starts dissappearing a little (2-3 weeks) scrape the diotoms off, so it looks nice.

IMPORTANT!!! dont do a water change until 1-2 weeks after you scrape it off... small groups of them still could be on your rocks, overflow, ever powerhead. I got rid of them last week now I got nice coraline algae growth.

    Just my opinion.

Well, I am presuming your tank is new and nearing the end of it's cycle. If this is the case, what you are experiencing is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. Diatoms live off of silicates, usually present in tap water. I had one such bloom (looked just like yours) that went away with time and a clean up crew.

If you are using tap water, I would stop the practice and switch to RO. You can get an RO/DI unit from AirWaterIce.com (for example), or buy your RO water out of vending machines for about 35 cents a gallon at many grocery stores. I do the latter. Silicates are non-existant.

If you want, you can make some salt water (or do a water change and use that water---as long as you are done cycling.....) and clean the rocks with a toothbrush. You will be removing some beneficial bacteria, but not enough to really make a difference.

Listen to these guys. It is normal and will go away. Your tank looks new to me so thats why you have the diatom bloom.
