    what can you do?

Generally when an anemone starts dying it doesnt stop - but first thing first lets try to determine the problem.

Lighting and parameters are a good place to start. nitrates and phosphates being the key parameters here.

    nitrate 0.1
    nitrite 0.2
    phosphate 0.1
    ammonia 0

metal halide and a t5 actinic

i have a sea urchin as well which is perfectly fine, wouldnt its spines falling off indicate a water quality fluctuation?

A picture might help, are you sure it's not just splitting?

edit: ooh, whats causing the nitrites? how much LR do you have in the tank? any supplimental filtration?
