    I dont wear gloves but I should. A week or so ago I got stuck by a bristleworm on my finger. It got really red and now it has peeled away the skin on my fingertip.

    I am glad that this thread made us all aware of the dangers that are involved with our hobby.... and thanks everyone for your contributions.
    Obviously some are willing to take the risk, however I just wanted to address the issue and obviously some of us have already learned the hard way!

    luckily my dad is a surgeon so i have no problem getting any type, size, color i want haha

    Plado, You are right. There have been some cases palytoxin (neurotoxin)poisoning if you handle zoa's with a open cut or sore. You never know......you learn something (hopefully) everyday. Can you see the insurance guy...blue ring octopus did what?

    why do you need gloves to add fish? do you hold them in your hand? ;D
