    How do most people run their UV Sterilizer?

    Do you go 24x7?
    Do you alternate with the daytime lights?

    What is the best/recommended UV schedule?

    There are alot of opinions on this subject....I choose to run mine 24/7. It is just what works for me.

    I normally ran mine 24/7 but recently removed it from my 150G, as I will be overhauling my sump system soon. I just added a UV sterilizer in my 12G tank and have it on only when the tank lights are on. The tank is small, so I don't think it needs to run all day and night. I want to add one on my 20G as well, that will probably run 24/7.

    Interesting, I think I will go with 24/7 for now and scale it back if I need to. I dont mind it running 24/7 so its fine with me.
