I just received 2 MP10w's tonight and am trying to learn the same thing. I've played with all of them. I know that Nutrient Transport is popular among SPS keepers, but I have to think the constant wave action must wear on the motors. So far reef crest in anti sync with both pumps on the back glass of my cube seems good.

Don't own one, yet ( ordering a single mp10 wireless with tax refunds), but I'm pretty sure motor wear is not going to be an issue with these beauties! For $260+ ea. they better stay working in whatever mode I want for years to come!

Well they certainly do make some noise in short pulse/nutrient transport modes.
