    Hi guys,

I am selling my tank since I am moving, this is what I have:

    - 1 55 gallon all-glass
    - 1 Stand for the 55 gallon
    - 1 Canopy (with retrofit T-5 HO lights, see below)
    - 1 External Overflow box
    - 1 10 gallon sump/fuge with home-made dividers
    - 1 Mag 10 return pump with home-made spray bar for return
    - A few bags of the Southdown PlaySand (aragonite sand) for establishing a DSB
    - Pretty much all water quality tests.
    - TechCB (Calcium Buffer) Chemicals
    - Iodine
    - 25 lbs Sea Salt Mix

    - Lighting in the retrofit T-5 is this kit: http://www.reefgeek.com/products/categorie...ing/104068.html originally purhcased for $330 with 7 month old lightbulbs 1 Sun, 1 Aquablue, and 2 Actinic/Blue Plus'.

I was trying to get $450 for it...a guy is offering me $360...do u think he is low-balling me, or does it seem reasonable?

    Thanks,
    Mike

I'd tell the guy to hold on and that you are waiting for a better offer.

If you really need to get rid of it, I would just sell it before he changes his mind. With everything you buy, when it comes time to get rid of it, you will always loose on your original investment. Get what you can.

I've found that people don't want to pay much for used set-ups. I was trying to sell a 155 bow front for a friend and the best offer I got was 300. Needlesss to say...it's still sitting in my garage....hmmmm...If I only had room for another tank;D

The thing is that people kind of want to start from scratch. They want to see their tank grow. Try selling your stuff seperately, things tend to go for more that way anyway.

With your lighting alone you can get most of your asking price, IMHO.

That's what I figured too, but I really needed to get rid of the tank in a short time-frame and I sold it to him for $360. He was a nice beginner and just wanted something to get him started without too much of the hassle (he has a 1 year old). I hope he gets good use out of it.
