im being offered a 120 gallon for 100 bucks.i know thats not bad at all.the only issue is that i also got an offer for a 90 gallon corner flow.should the corner flow box make adifference on my choice.im more worried about the 120 gallon not being pre drilled.

I bought a 125gal that wasn't drilled and now it is. If you buy the 100gal get it drilled or go with the 90. IMO

My LFS had a drill and loaned it to me. They usually charge $30-$50 per hole. With the right drill it's real easy. But that's the cheap part. The overflow boxes and bulkheads start to add up too.

Well you have many options. First of all you should make sure the tanks bottom is not tempered. You can have the LFS drill the holes for you (I had my 90 gallon drilled for $70 bucks but some LFS here do it for $10-$15). You have the option of buying a bit and cutting the hole yourself as well. Ive seen the LFS doing the hole and its not difficult, but you do need the right equipment. I actually cut a 1 1/2" diameter hole in 1/2" glass using copper tubing and some grit, so cutting is not too difficult. If your handy maybe you can save some money and do something like me for the overflow. It is basically a pipe with a bowl on the top. however you run the risk of having the whole tank empty out if the pipe breaks.

The 120g is a nice size for sure, and its only $100 bucks. What are the 2 tanks dimensions?

Heres the diy overflow I made with some basic pvc plumbing.

This hobby you have to be patient, and its expensive so wait to you can get the tank you want, plus anything you buy today will be cheaper next week, Murphy's law (Unless its gas ;D)
