I added a cardinal yesterday and had to re-aquascape everything except the large base rocks because Todd_Sails healing mushroom frag blew away and I !had! to find it lol. Havent seen my watchman since.
Don't know if he could be possibly hiding from the other fish, found an awesome new hiding spot or if I accidentally smashed him.
How likely is it to smoosh a fish when moving rocks? I shook and fanned everything off before placing the rocks in new spots. I guess I hoped he'd scram. :-/
Even did a feeding today and didn't see anything. Is it in the mannerisms of these fish to be intimidated by a new fish? Does anybody have any suggestions on how to flush him out besides just waiting and watching for a carcass crab feast? Really like this little guy, and hope I didn't flatten him!

I hope you didn't smoosh him but I think he escaped. I've moved around a lot of rock and somehow have never smashed one...

I've never smashed a fish either but I am paranoid now. Some guy talked me into adopting his marine betta while back and I scraped him up pretty bad moving rocks but geesh, it was a big marine betta in a 30g he had nowhere to run.
    I felt sooo bad!

This was his first aquascaping experience tho, probably scared him pretty bad. I hope he shows back up. Didn't check outside the tank or the filters yet but he stays to the ground so, unlikely.

I'd give it some time. Probably spooked him out moving around the rocks. Also, make sure you have a lid as they are known to jump...I kept finding my YWG down in the sump area.
