Well, I think we lost him. I haven't seen him at all today and I saw a very small fish bone floating around. He never came out to eat. Do you think he could have starved?

So turns out the little turd isn't dead just still hiding in the back of the tank. Can you keep two of these little guys in one tank? It's a bit of a bummer to have such a cute little fish that I never see.

you know i felt the same way that you do with the ywg, but you have to look at this in a different way.

If you see the little guy everyday you sort of get used to him being there. but when every once in a while you see him in your reef then it's like "look there he is!!" and that, to me, is way more exciting than seeing the fish in a daily routine

Do not keep two YWG's together in the same tank. He will eventually burrow and create a dweling facing you as he will find it easier to lurch out and scoop up some food as long as its close to his domain. As well, he may have found a little buddy in the form of a pistol shrimp and they are colaborating as to what to do next: how to overthrow the current government and impoise martial law. As well, YWG are imensly hardy. Mine has been through 3 or 4 aquarium changes and I don't know how he survived until now....going on 5 years. He even jumped out one time from a bucket and survived a few minutes on the ground. He is truly Goby One Canobi.

So what your saying is that the YWG is actually a very diabolical fish. I'm hoping to get a pistol soon and when I do I'm attaching an eviction notice to him to deliver the the YWG. Is that the actual name of your Goby, cause I kind of love it!

Yes that is what the kids named him. Let's hope you never get a pistol shrimp as that noise is very annoying and evil. lol......

Well, my LFS finally got in a pistol for my Goby! I added him last Friday and finally figured out where is home was today due to the sand storm he was creating. He's quite small, has made a burrow facing the front (score!) and is fairly close to where YWG has been. I'm hoping they find each other soon. Just wondering since he's so small, I mean tiny, could he be too small for them to hang out? There is no way that the YWG will fit in the burrow, it's probably 4x the size of the pistol.

Yeah, he's been coming out a lot more. Just need to get used to his surroundings. I really love him.
