    Hi all,

I'm new here so hello to all.

I have a quick question with a long explanation. First I have a receptacle in a back room about 30ft from the tank that I use to mix water. When it's time to do a water change I place a large pump in the receptacle and pump the water through the line directly into the tank, 15 gallons once a week.

The water line is in the ceiling of the basement which is finished so there is no way to access the line with exception of the inlet, outlet on each end.

I'm concerned the line might be dirty bacteria etc. My question is what would you use to pump throught the line to clean it?

I thought RO water with about 10 drops of Iodine pumped from a 5 gallon bucket.

Thanks for the help I really appreciate it.

vinegar, or a 10% bleach solution.
pump some regular water to clear it out afterwards(add some baking soda to it if you use the bleach).

Thanks for the help, do you have a similar set-up you use the solution for?
