water turn around rate

    anyone know what i ideal water turn around rate should be for a 55 gal i currently have a 35x an hour

    I go with the rule of thumb of 20x (maybe up to 25x) 35x seams high, however I think each tank is unique. Are the fish fighting to stay in one place? (are they wearing little life jackets, trying to make it through "the great flood"..if no, then I would say you are good).

    I like higher water rates in my tanks, but I also try to make sure that there are some calm areas too.

    i do have some calm spots some spots with a gentle breeze and there some hold on to your fins spots lol
