    whatsup guys, new here. My name is Brian, 17 year old canadian that is used to freshwater and have no problems there, inside and out, new to saltwater started a 10 gallon nano reef, Here to learn and you guys know your s--t i can tell just from lurking the past few days already learned a few things, so i look forward to learning and progressing with all you, thanks;D

    Hey congratulations and welcome.I can honestly say my tank wouldn't be what it is with out 3reef.I probably wouldn't have the interest I have in the hobby with out it.its a very friendly atmosphere here and people are very willing to share information and experiences.goodluck with ur tank:)

    I couldn't of said it better. A couple topics I know would of helped me from the start (I too transitioned from fresh water) would be around Live Rock/Sand beds, Nitrates/Phosphates and salinity. Good luck and Welcome!

    Free knowledge is good but not the best, the BEST kind of knowledge is free ACCURATE information knowledge. I know plenty of lfs who give some free knowledge on how to kill any animal you buy from them;D lol

    Welcome to 3Reef and good luck. Most of the information here is pretty accurate and free so youll be good there, just remember to take everything with a grain of salt. Although people try their best and only tell what they believe to be true, what works for one might not for another and sometimes thigns work because of other variable not mentioned research is the key to any success you will have
