ok i just eliminated a sailfin tang that i was babysitting but ended up taking ownership when a friend dropped the hobby.my tank is a 30g and theres 2 clowns and a sixline wrasse.i look at it and it looks plain. im pretty much thinking of a pajama cardinal.yes there is some coral in the tank..but i also think theres is enough of a load in there.so please let me know if you got any other ideas.oyea and im thinking of upgrading within the next couple of months.

be careful with the sailfine they are verry hardy but really hard to maintain in such a small tank and i tell you from personal experience

A 30 gallon is pretty small for a tang. They do best in at least a 75, but prefer bigger as they like to swim laps.

My favorite inhabitant is a springeri dottyback. Great colours and is always very active. Have heard some people say that they don't get on too well with 6-lines though so you may want to watch that.

A small angel would also be good in that size of tank as a 'showpeice' fish (V eyecatching).

Your initial idea for a pajama cardinal is a good one. Very funny fish, docile and does not disturb my coral. I have a pair of pajamas and a banghi cardinal. They will not get too big for your tank.

Watch out. Those damsels grow fast and get mean in the process. But you have a smaller tank and it will not be that big of a deal to have to get him out. That is the only plus size to a smaller tank. When I had the 180 gallon, when you put something in it was in for good.
