    There is the small hair-like projection (oober smaller than the zoas) that has small spec-like projections. It is TOO small to photograph so I drew in on paint. Very curious.

    What you have there is a line with some spray paint on one end....
    Tube worm, feather duster?

    I do not belive it'd be a duster. I was assuming some type of hydroid

    Digitate hydroids tend to anchor themselves to something and engage in a slow pulsating motion. They look a lot like your drawing. If you google them they should come up.
