There are many great choices for fish. I happen to really like clown fish, great personality. I also love my sixline wrasse. Many people over look blue tail damsels too, they may get them to cycle then get rid of them, but I've had mine since the very beginning. I love him, very bright, vivid blue and a rich yellow tail. Those are some really good, hardy choices. There are many others. By the way, what lighting do you have? Many people believe they have adequate lighting but that may not be the case.

What specfically do you have though? List all your equipment if you will. :) I heard a guy at my LFS say "I have a big enough tank for that nurse shark, how much?" and he was referring to a 70G tall. BTW, the nurse shark my LFS has is about 5ft long in a 1000G. I have heard people say "I have strong lighting for anything" and come to find out they have a single 65W compact flourescent.

250W of CF lighting wouldn't really be enough for hard corals. If you don't want to go with MH lighting, I would stick with softies. Stay away from SPS and anemones. :)

Ditto on those fish choices. I also have a blenny, coral beauty, and a yellow watchman goby. I'm at the max for my 46 and actually, the blenny wasn't ours by choice. We "inherited" him from a friend of Jwin's - the blenny was terrorizing his clam. All of our fish have done well and have their own little territories. Good luck with your choices!

It might take lots of research but if you do your h.w. it will pay off. Find out what all corals you want make sure the fish you get are reef friendly and are not going to grow to big for your tank. you might have a big tank but when full of l/r and coral how much swimming space are you really left with. Take your time and go at it slow. Soon enough you will have what you want.

Clowns are always wanted (3REEF Shirt) I love my clown fish. All three of them. Clowns are a good choice for most all tanks. As stated earlier the have funny personallities. But make sure if you get a anemone for the clown to host keep your corals in mind cause they do move
