    hello everyone
i will be upgrading my tank i have a 30g breeder.

and i really want a 72 bow front. but the areas around me just do not seem to have any.

i might wait but the man that owns cragilist around me for when it comes to fish tank has a 75g standard tank and a 75g tank with rounded sides.

    which tank is stronger.
is the 75g tank with rounded sides newer?

    both same price.

    huh

if u asking which tank is better it depends on a lot of different factors, ur light setup, pumps u use,and space in ur house i dont know which is stronger that depends on the thick ness of glass and or weather its tempered or not

If I can give you a word of experience, one of my tanks os a bowfront and I DO like it.....but.....the bowfront makes it very out of focus when looking at an angle. It's not a huge deal but you need to be looking directly at your target to get a clear, focused view :) But other than that the tank is beautiful!

I have a biocube and I thought the curved glass would be cool but there is a lot of distortion looking through it. No bowfronts for me.

wow never knew that about bow fronts. good info. i think they are pretty but have always thought they would be a bit more tricky for cleaning the bowed glass

I have a half round...much more curved than bowfronts. Cleaning the glass is not a problem. Water flow is, for mine, due to only 1 side to mount PH's. The flow seems to follow the curved glass, and can't get the center of the tank to get good flow. I would think that with a bowfront, it would be easier because of the 2 flat sides before the bow. The distortion is a factor for some, but the extra "style" you get from a curved aquarium trumps that in my book.

Comming from someone who has a corner bow front. Do your research fist make sure your gonna have ample room for your equipment. I love my bow front corner tank but there is not much room under it and if I could go back Id get a regular 90. Just make sure you know what your gonna put under it. And make sure you will have some extra room for other things you might buy in the future ect.
