Hey everyone, I want to add some new livestock but am just curious on the compatibility. My system is a 125g mixed reef with 40g sump/ fuge.

    My livestock
    -purple tang
    -blue tang
    -1 black ocellaris clown
    -bicolor angelfish
    -yellow tail damsel
    - 1 blue/green chromis

What I would like to add is a yellow watchman goby and some schooling fish. Possibly more chromis and/ or cardinals.

What are your thoughts and opinions on this.

Thanks for your help in advance.

All sound fine except chromis. I had some, they got hemorhagic septicemia and decimated all my stocks.

If you want schools go with anthias.

as we all have our opinions, I love the blue/green chromis for schooling fish....I've never thought cardinals were very attractive....but they evidently breed in captivity which makes them interesting.....

As far as bioload or aggression i think you should be ok with either

Any suggestion on anthias, I do have somewhat active fish. The tangs are pretty active and the slender anthias suggest not to add after active larger fish. I do not mind moving the rocks cape around and plan to add more live rock prior to any new additions to change up the scenery.

I am not to keen on the cardinals either but I would just like some more color and action in the tank. Lol. I lnow i would get neither with cardinals. I personally like chromis and am leaning toward them.

Thank you, I know more fish = more bio load but am willing to deal with it when the time comes. Thanks again.

Roger that, I do not like damsels very much. Except the blue green chromis. My yellow tail was almost putted several times on my 80g but got an attitude check when the purple tang came around. Now he acts like a normal fish.

What about the yellow watchman goby as well. Is that a good idea. I have a pistol shrim and everybody normally stay toward the middle to top of the tank.

Anthias are beautiful, but have SUPER high metabolisms Must feed them often.

yes, to the YWG - very cool fish and especially since you have a pistol.....I think they are compatible with certain types....I love my goby/pistol pair and especially the goby, he is always out and interested in when I go near the tank....
