I have always used windex on the outside glass and have never had a problem. I spray the windex on the papertowel and no where near the tank. Vinegar works good too and no the smell doesn't stay long!

My problem, not enough LR in the start, over feeding in the beginning causing high nitrates, and purchasing a pc light to turn around and get t5ho's 5 mnths later. Never any major problems but small learning lessons.

    Baby-Wipes work great for me.

Well...I can blame this mistake on ignorance seeing as I have had the same tank for over 4 years. I did not build it with a sump...and I can not think of a good way to implement such a plan. Also, adding macro algae without knowing its sexual habits is not a good idea...poor turret fish.

Man, If I was at near my tank I would tell you the name of a great product. It is in a red and white bottle..usually sold at fish stores. It seems to be fish safe and it works great on glass and acrylic. I will post the name as soon as I can. ;D

2nd biggest mistake I made was, when building stand, I did not make lower cabinet high enough.

Skimmer barely squeezes in - and I get mad at self every time I clean it. ---

Making higher would have made it much much easier to work in.
