I ordered a similar unit from the same company and am very happy with the performance and the price was right too - you should be fine!

I bought my RO/DI unit from purewaterclub.com and I am very happy. I need to get a tds meter to make sure I am at 0ppm, but I have been useing the unit for about 6 months with no issues. I use it for my 90 gallon reef, and my 55 gallon freshwater.

The only thing I would be semi concerned about is the DI filters are sideways so you can't be 100% sure that all the water is being correctly filtered. But then again you are running it through two of them. I have herd people on 3reef say that they simply mounted the filter up and down to avoid this issue. When I purchased my unit from them they included a free seperate DI filter along with a sideways mounted one, but I do not think you will need it because it has two smaller DI filters.

I would suggest getting it with a tds meter. Purewaterclub has a 30 day return policy so you could return with only loosing out on shipping. But personally I think you will be happy. Having a very similar unit I can say they are made nice, they have friendly service, and fast shipping.

    DO IT!

I have this unit and it works great. But I had to install a vertical type DI chamber and ditch the 2 horizontal. Those things are pretty much useless, for me anyway. My PPM was 157 from the tap. When I hooked up this unit I could only get it down to about 8. I took the DI units off and it was still 8. So they weren't doing anything. I got another one of those 10" housings and a refillable DI cartridge and some color changing DI resin from BRS. Packed it in there tight and hooked it up as the last stage on my RO unit. PPM instantly at 0. This unit is worth every penny. It is put together well and instructions are great. Try it out with what it comes with. See how your PPMs are. If it isn't at 0 then I'd go with a seperate vertical DI unit. You can get something like this...
BRS GFO and Carbon Reactor Bulk Reef Supply
Or maybe you can get just a 4 stage unit for even cheaper and then get a seperate DI unit.

It is. And I am a firm believer you get what you pay for. I went out on a limb with this and it has worked out. One thing I will mention is I don't know how much water pressure has to play in this. I know they say you should have good water pressure to make these things work properly. I never tested mine so I don't know if it is a big issue. My water pressure seems to be average to me

I want to add that the 'get what you pay for' thing has always held true for me, always. I would buy from a more reputable vendor just for the peace of mind, but that's just me.

An RO/DI filter is just basically containers full of different media and tubes for moving water through them. Think about where a company could save money, and it's apparent that the most likely place to cut corners is with the media.

My bet is that you are getting much lower quality carbon blocks, RO membranes and DI media than you would from a more reputable supplier. While it will likely perform perfectly fine when you receive it and for a short time after, I'd bet that the media they provide will not last as long as it might from a reputable supplier.

This is just me playing devil's advocate, but I wanted to give you all something to think about.

I think you are right about the media. I think I changed out the media after 6 months(except membrane). I bought new media but I forget from where. It was pretty cheap and it has lasted about a year and my PPM is still 0

Ya, the media is probably pretty cheap. But when its time to replace just get a better media. Also ditch the horizontal DI. You need a vertical DI that forces water from bottom to top. But when you look at the cost of better media, and a vertical DI add on, I don't know if your actually saving that much vs just getting a more top end unit.
