Whats The Difference?

Whats the difference between a:
Blue Tang
Hippo Tang
Regal Tang
?????
Just got a juvenile Blue tang yesterday. He is currently in my quarantine tank making sure he is ich free! I have read they are very ich prone. Any advice in keeping is appreciated.

This is one of the reasons I hate common names. Those are all the same fish.

The only one thats different is a South African Regal Tang....those get yellow bellies after they mature.

 

Yes. QT him. Like you said though, they are VERY ich prone. If there's any ich in your tank already, you'll know it as soon as you add him.
Keep good water conditions
Feed a quality food
Make sure to supplement food with HUFAs and vitamins

 

I actually have had a fallow tank for over 8 weeks so I am pretty sure there is no ich in the tank. Currently have one sailfin tang that I QT'd and he is showing no signs of ich. I feed spectrum pellets and formula one flakes. I soak food in garlic juice once a week. What are HUFA'S and what do you recommend to use for vitamins?
