I was feeding my horses and i'm wondering about feeding TIPS; WHATS YOUR FEEDING TIPS I've noticed my nassarius snails trying to get into the feeding box of the horses. So i feed them first to distract them, then they leave the box alone. My fish the same happens with my Tang and Foxface, my super little clowns, the shrimp who steals everything, the chromis affraid of everything and the CUC so whats your tips. Just wondering. Besides stoping the pumps for 10-15 min. Do you use turkey baster, let it float, clips, by hand, automation, seperate times, all at once. First time for me to have carnivores and herbees at the same time so yes i'm asking for real lol.

I usually just give a small amount of food that disperses throughout the tank so that all can get some. I don't turn off pumps. I'm thinking the horses are unique in terms of feeding so I don't have advice on that mud :(

I do all of the above.
I feed the fish some flake/pellet. Then if I'm feeding the coral/rest of tank, I'll mix up some reef chili and some of the local frozen coral food and spot feed 3/4 of the time. The other 1/4 of the time, I'll just broadcast feed. When I spot feed, I will turn the sump off/pumps off and then feed as many mouths as I can reach and let them sit for a half hour. Then turn on the return pump first, then finally the circulation pumps. I will do usually the same when broadcast feeding, although sometimes I just mix up some reef chili and put it in there with everything on.
Is it right? I have no idea, it certainly isn't consistent... however, most everything is growing.
