white dots

    any idea what these are? it seems like if i scrape them off theres even more the next day. they're kinda hard to get off too

    If it is hard shelled then they are spirorbid snails.

    they're flat though, and when i scrpae them off they leave a little white ring of where they used to be

    That would have been my guess.

    They may be nerite snail eggs then.

    hmm well then i hope its the snails you first mentioned....gosh if those all hatched that be alot of snails

    Ohh i forgot to ask. How old is your tank?

    I started to get these about 3-4 months after establishing my tank. Now i dont know if there is any correlation between seeing these things and established tank time, but thats when I think I first started noticing them. Bought a tenis ball size bit of chaeto and boom everywhere.

    its 1 month 2 weeks old not exactly 3 months :p

    edit: no chaeto in my tank

    Nerites don't hatch in saltwater; they need the salinity to be lower.

    I cant really remember the exact time. It was a guess, but I know it was early in the life of my tank. So im thinking its spirorbid
