Today when I went to feed my fish this white worm like thing about 3/16" long came out of nowhere swimming like a spinning corkscrew! I think I managed to get it out but I'm 100% on that. Anyone have an idea of what the heck this thing is? I freaked me out!!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Sounds like a epitok bristle worm. It's a stage of reproduction.

No not bad, I get them from time to time usually at night and usually quite a few at a time. I have about a 2 foot bristle worm in my tank and when it reproduces I see them for about 2 hours.

He is cool he lives in the burrow with my goby.

The cork screw swimming is usually the detail to the ID, although I have see some large flatworms swim in a similar pattern, but with the white and spiny most likely a bristle worm. Google Epitok after you eat dinner, because you might loose you appetite.
