    Howdy,

I have put some new LR in my tank a few days ago and one area has some little corals growing (the green circles in the picture, frogspawn maybe?) and there seems to be something ejecting white "string" into the tank. It appears to be coming out of the rock (see orange circle in picture).

Any ideas what would be ejecting this white "string" and should I worry about it?

    Cheers,
    Dean

Thanks for that curt, it doesn't look like the first video, will have to try and get a video of it and post it.

Are those things in the green circles frogspawn? or some other thing?

    Cheers,
    Dean

From this angle, they appear to be partially closed Palythoa. Press on one, is it soft and flexible?

Yep, it sounds like we were both right then.

Steve, I restored your post. You can have me re-delete it but I think it's helpful for Dean to see that 2 separate people came to the same conclusion. I hit enter and your post was there in like 2 seconds so that only means my internet connection was slightly faster.

Yep , I must have been typing at same time and said "They look like closed up Zoanthids to me"

posted, saw your post and thought "with a 1 minute delay between posts, Steve has seen Inwall's reply and echoed it"

so I deleted my post - which means, had I not put this up now your above comment would have seemed " isolated"

wrong - as you can put it back and have done so - if it was only 2 seconds, then people will not think I just echoed, thanks for that.

Thanks for that guys, gotta love the hitchhikers that come with rock. That rock was only base rock too!

Do they need high light? because the position I have the rock is quite dark.

    Cheers,
    Dean
