    Same reason a old 1963 3 window vett cost 150 to 200 K or Cobra cost 2 Million But like with these cars unless you find a collector who is willing to pay its worth nothing . I sold my 64 Impala S.S 409 all matching numbers for close to 50K 5 yrs ago it cost new 3k the guy wanted it so it was worth it .
    I wish I had some of the old iron tanks like that my Grandfather had ..

    I guess it's expensive because it's a "collectors item" and antique that it's worth so much.
    It'd make a really nice seahorse display though;)

    I think the stand might be antique. Was glass even that good looking back then? I've gone to antique shops where glass from those days has all kindsa imperfections. :confused:

    I think the answers in the question, its an antique... lol

    I definitely wouldn't pay that for it, I think its a bit ugly but as they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that.

    personally, i think it is a replica. His ad says '20s style tank. Not that it is a 1920s tank.

    No way would I pay that, even if it was real.
