Today when i was getting ready to sit down for dinner my hooded fairy wrasse freaked out. It tried and tried again until it fit through my egg crate lid. It got stuck and then wiggled its way on the floor. Lucky i was standing there and put him right back in. Not looking to hot before i saw him go hid. I think he ripped part of his dorsal fin off. So, hopefully he will be ok any suggestions besides dont bug him?
O and how does a 4 inch fish bigger than my thumb fit through 1/4 egg crate?

All fish can and will jump eventually. I've never seen 1/4" eggcrate. 1/2" sure, but never 1/4" I have 1/4" nylon mesh over mine and have never had an escapee. BulkReefSupply sells it. Hope your little one is okay.

Just leave him alone and see what happens. Cool your tank abit might help reduce risk of infection imo just imo

They're very easy to put together you'll just need a screen frame kit from Walmart or wherever

out of curiosity , do you have a ground probe on your tank? and have you ever tested volt readings in your water? i ask this because my favorite wrasse would go crazy at times and i now wonder if volts ( while un grounded ) in my water had any thing to do with it.
    i miss that crazy fish.
