so i just saw a little bit of weird behavior, i know clowns are usually goofy little guys but this confused me, i know males will have siezures or spastic shaking to show the female she's dominant, well my clowns have been together for 6 months now and have been pairing up but i look over and i see the female and the male both shaking first the female then the male, is this part of the mating? and just now i saw both my clowns in my gbta (first time the male went in) and it looked like the male was picking or cleaning under it. while the female shook violently and nipped at the males bottom fins

Sounds typical to me...Clowns are crazy little fish. Sometimes my female gets all mad and won't let the male come near her. Sometimes they snuggle up in the front corner and sleep together. Other times they take turns chasing each other around the tank like they are playing tag. Sometimes they swim face to face and take turns shaking at each other. Odd little fish, but that's why I love em!
