Is there any job where you have to dive for wild fish to sell at aquarium stores?how much do they make a year.

    Posted on wrong board.

Not sure what job that would be. Something in the aquarium trade working for wholesalers, I would assume. You would need a license for it. Not a clue how much they would make.

Might I suggest looking into marine biology as a career major?

Consider that most of the people out diving for fish are in third world countries with a very low standard of living and no better way to eat daily, and you might reconsider that career path.

Well, they make far lower than minimum wage would be anywhere in the US, unless they're diving in Hawaii or Australia. I can tell you that much.

There's a guy on ReefCentral that is a collector, don't remember what his name is, but I've seen posts where he's talked about where he's collecting and stuff he usually runs across, etc.

You'd probably be better off breeding tropical fish or, propagating coral in a facility. As mentioned, most of the collection done is in 3rd world countries. Great Barrier Reef and species collection don't sound right in the same sentence, although I have 0 idea as to any collection rules etc...

EDIT: There are some available species in FL, but not much to jump up and down about.
