Worms on live rock??

    Hi everyone- Sorry I don't have a picture to post but I was wondering if anyone has ever had this. What I have is what appears to be a bunch of little greenish worms with black stripes coming out of one central point of my rock. They are about the thickness of a piece of thread. I'd say they are about an inch and a half long.

    observing them over time they appear to waive around and try to pull food in to the center most point.

    I'll try to post a pic.. Just not sure how.

    sorry I don't mean live rock as it is new.. The rock has been in my tank for about a year..

    could you be talking about mini brittle stars?they are all over my tanks and fit your description waving arms ,striped ect if so leave be they are good to have

    someof them have 10 or so strands coming out.. They seem to reside in small holes in the rock and reach out from there. Sometimes I will see them coming out of an empty hermet shell too. The will even pull sand in tward them as well.
