I was thinking of setting up a wrasse tank with my 75 gallon to try and initiate some spawning events. Specifically, I have been considering the Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse (Paracheilinus carpenteri), Christmas Wrasse (Halichoeres claudia), or a species of possum wrasse. From what I've read, I think these wrasses reproduce under a haremic structure on the reef, but I haven't found much info on whether I can put multiple fish of one of the species together in a 75 gal. I was thinking 5 females and 1 male of one of the species I mentioned above or 8 females and 2 males. Thoughts?

It certainly can be done; you're on the right track and the link Corailline posted should answer most of your questions.

My personal tank is full of wrasses; see link in my signature.
