I am fairly new to wrasses, having gotten a sixline about two months ago, and have had a Hawiaan Flame just couple of weeks.

I know there a about a gazillion varietys of wrasses...am curious about what others have here at 3REEF and what are their characteristics.

These two may not be my last...

The sixline is a bundle of energy and races about the tank all day weaving through corals and even anenomes. His favorite game is "playing" in heavy current, which he likes to twist and turn in.

The Flame is a quiet, gentle, calm fish that pretty much spends the day going from the bottom of the tank to top and back. For a new fish in the tank, he is remarkedly well at home. Loves to get face to face with you when you approach tank.

Please share pics and characteristics of any wrasses you have...and how they get along with other fish in your tank.

    Here are mine:

Those two look very nice. I myself have a Hoeven's Wrasee. I got it a few years back thinking it was a goby...it was very small. Now it is the biggist fish in the tank (Since my blenny died). It is...not always reefsafe...eating my pistol shrimp...but then again the shrimp was 1/2 inch long...so...other than that it doesnt bother anything. It is very nice looking but still super super shy.
