About a month ago I asked a question regarding what I should replace my starter Damsels with. Being new to the hobby I was not sure but decided on a pair of perc's that are the best of friends. I also added a neon dotty...beautiful fish with a curious personality. Currently everyone gets along just fine. I was thinking about adding another fish and when I researched there is tons of warnings about the Dotty's aggressive nature. Any suggestions on what I might add next? I have a 75 gallon reef with about 140lbs of live rock. The tank is about 5 months old and settling in nicely.

There are literally TONS of things you could add. Can you give us a breakdown of what you might be looking towards?
Quite a few tangs, a firefish, chromis, couple of different butterflies, a blenny, a goby, cardinals, etc etc etc ;)

    Packleader,
Lol. Have to be careful of the internet. I have read horror stories about the neon dotty but he has been great. Does not bug the Percs and swims through your fingers when you have to do something with the tank. I suppose that may be looked at as territorial behavior. I love the colorful fish. Had my eye on a fairy wrasse but the LFS said that the dotty might be too much for him. I worry about the tangs size in my 75, but have thought about a Bristletooth from other suggestions in the forums. Gobies are interesting to me one day I would love to have a Mandarin (great pic by the way). I know this is vague and all over the board, thanks for the patience.

Do us all a favor and get rid of the damsels, you will regret it of you don't! Read other post and take my word for it because I still can't catch mine!

    Nightstick,
I got rid of the damsels...lol. Tried everything to get them out (except for a really small hook). Ended up taking 3 quarters of my tank apart to get them. I threatened my LFS to never do that to me again. Traded in the damsels added the percs and ended up with 20 more lbs of live rock for the new set-up. LFS threw in live rock because I had such a hard time getting the blue damsels out.

Pack you have got me intrigued as to what butterflies you will suggest for a reef. I love them but thought I had to steer clear of them.

There are 2 species of heniochus butterflies, one is reef safe one isn't. I don't know the name of the one that is reef safe but pack will know.

My LFS sells 10 hermit crabs for $7.50 and 10 nassarius for $10. I practically had to pull toe nails but I talked them into giving me 5 and 5 for $10.
