Xenia pulsing like CRAZY!

    So ive had this frag of Elongata Xenia for a bout a month now, its been doing fine..I had it under PC's and it wasnt pulsing a ton, now that ive upgrading lighting it has been pulsing like crazy! and the color has changed some too...I am wondering if the pulsing is a positive?

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Mine has always pulsed at higher pH. Infact if I see no pulsing I just add some buffer (if the alk is low) and the next day they pulse like crazy.

    Well, that could be it! My alk and PH are perfect right now..Im adding tank pics tomorrow, you will have to check it out so you can see that algae im having and ID it and tell me how to get rid of it!

    mine pulse when the ph is a little low or just right but im at 8.4 now and they just set there and wave

    I'm looking forward to those pics! I love my xenia, it's a real eyecatcher as people look into the tank. Problem is, it's spreading almost too fast at this moment...

    Mine never really stop pulsating but I had trouble getting it to spread at all. Then I stuck a small rock up against it to try and get a frag for a friend. Well I got the frag now its spreading in all the places I don't want it lol.

    I have a choclate chip star eat half of one of the stalks and the other half that was left attached to a rock and started spreading.. Since then i have removed (chip) from the tank and now resides at the LFS
