    Letting the tank get settled down first :) Corals are still opening and PO'ed from transit.

    Broke down my skimmer today to clean - it had clogged due to some salt creep, I found. Gave it a thorough cleaning. When I put the injector back in and fired it up, it was much quieter. Well, somehow, it seems, I had put the injector in wrong the first time. It started producing foam within 5 minutes halfway up the riser. Wow. Argghhh.:angry:

    So, after lots of research and debate, I decided I'm going to start dosing vodka.

    A local reefer swears by the method, and I'm going to talk with him tomorrow. I've seen pictures of his tank, and it's spectacular. I'll keep a log of my experience on here.

    carefull with the idea, if your gonna do it use small doses, and its not needed all the time.

    Some ppl use it to lower thier No3 levels to zero. It also puts your skimmer on over-drive, but if I where you, I wouldnt worry about it b/c your not even old enough to buy it......lol
