Picked up a Neon Green & Purple Frogspawn tonight - 3 heads, tentacles puffed up all nice and bright and healthy. Dark green, dark purple. Looks like one of the heads needs a little TLC as the flesh is stretched rather tight over the skeleton, but the other 2 are perfect. Acclimated nicely, tentacles are still retracted but coming out a bit. Hopefully it takes off nicely - this is the healthiest one I've seen around here so far as the others have been very faded.

Another successful reefcleaners.org purchase arrived! This ordered combined with the snails in the tank ... now I have around 70 total snails, 20 or so blue hermits. Now I'm where I need to be for the janitorial staff.

I couldn't help but pick up a yellow watchman goby today. He seems to have acclimated nicely and is skipping happily over the rocks and surfing in the currents from time to time. Frogspawn is poking the tentacles out today too testing the water. Hopefully it extends fully by the weekend.

Picked up a rock with a bunch of purple shrooms today. These look awesome under actinics - can't wait to see them under the MH :) Pics will come this afternoon.

I have an amazing number of pods growing in the overflow box of my tank. It's literally frosted with them. Also my amphipod population seems to be growing again. Lots of them crawling around all through the rocks when the lights kick on. 8)

Reorganizing the aquascape today. I added the extra rock earlier this week and it was basically just tossed in there so I'm going to re-build and rearrange today. Hopefully it turns out well!

Algae is nearly all gone since the addition of the new snails - params seem to be staying fairly stable as well. I'm going to be replacing the 18g rubbermaid sump with a 20 tall glass as soon as I can find one. Petsmart only carries them with a stupid flourescent fixture, and I just need the tank. Can't do a 20 long due to space issues. I will be drilling it and running skimmer out of sump.

I found a bristle worm earlier this week too. Yikes. Should I keep or set a trap?

Nice Goby. We like ours. He's a good addition, especially when he has a pistol shrimp buddy :D

I'd leave the worm for now. If you start seeing more pop up, you might want to consider doing something about it. But if it's just one worm, leave him be. Our six line wrasse kills all of our bristle worms. I haven't seen one since we got him.

Cool, thanks for the input on the bristle worm. That dude gave me the creeps, seriously. I've heard good and bad about them, but he's about 4 inches long and I haven't seen him since I set the 30 gallon up back in October. He's been in there this long, he can't be that bad. I'm just wearing gloves now when I have my hands in the tank:wreck:

A few updated pics. Coralline is growing so much faster in here than it ever did in my 30. Prettier colors, too. It's started on the back and on the returns. I need to add more sand, as I've found my goby really enjoys building big sand dunes which leaves sand thin in some areas. Another 20 pounds should do me.

I can't seem to get rid of the dang glare. Anyone here use a Nikon D60 and have advice on how to take good pictures?

    Bullet 1

My Bullet 1 arrived today! Mag 12 and waste container arriving tomorrow.

Huge kudos to 3reef member Powerman for the sale. If he ever has anything for sale, I would vouch for him no problem. 8) I also must say that the customer service at Precision Marine is excellent. I haven't even used it and I would recommend them to anyone.

Should be able to get it all hooked up this weekend.
