I have heard about flame hawks picking on inverts, b/c other hawkfish certainly do. My friend had one for years, and he was pretty good around them...
I haven't had any luck with angels and corals. :(

damsels eat seaweed from time to time, adding some, (not that much), to your mix will probably benefit them.

use sponge filters, and sponges instead of rockwork for surface area, it is easy to remove. (this is a response to a post from page 1)

I guess it depends on the species, but fine sand would be better there, but gobies that build burrows would like some coarser stuff...
and traps a little more detritus I would go with some of both, the fine will fill in between the coarse, and the coarse sand will help facilitate...
