its my belief that change in lighting is what causes coral to die in this manner, light shock so to say, going from fluorescent to m/h or natural sun...
imo its not the lighting, i believe iodine is the problem, a lack of it will cause mushrooms to die off in the way you discribe, on your next shrooms...
