    how and where to put baserock?

    Dont forget that a lot of times when people say 1 lbs to 1 gallon is dealing with wet rock that weighs a lot more. You will need less base rock.

    you could probably use an airline valve like this Air Pump Accessories: AccuAir Aquarium Gang Valve by JW Pet You would just keep it almost wide open.

    Brittle stars are safer then serpent stars though. serpents are the one that have been known to take out fish.
