Has anyone noticed that their zoas wont really open with a DKH of 8.0? I raised it up to 9.0 and noticed way better polyp extension immediately......

I run my fuge the EXACT same way. In my opinion, miracle mud is just another thing to spend extra money on. DSB and live rock will get the job done....

I decided that my reef octopus nwb 150 skimmer should probably be raised a bit since its a little inconsistent and sitting in about 10 1/4" of water....

no it can be, they are designed to be in saltwater for continuous use. Also i would go with the 3, look on Craigslist for a sweet deal! they are out...

well the 3 will be pushing about 330 gph at 3 feet, which in my opinion is a lot of flow through a refugium, so i would think a 3 with a ball valve...
